Chilian coast

A few more fun pictures here of the sunsets in Ritoque. Every night we stayed at the beach we would hike out on the cliff’s and watch the sunset. Although scale is hard to see in photo’s like this, the waves were easily 6+ feet. Sam and I took surf lessons earlier this day as it was a “small wave” day.
If you every have the chance, Ritoque was where we had our favorite day of the trip and although it was also the coldest of the two weeks we hated to leave it.

Donald J. Pliner Spring 2011 Lifestyle shoot

Yesterday Kate Benson took on Donald J. Pliner Spring 2011. In the beautiful Bill Baggs State Park we absolutely took over and cruised through the day shooting 21 different looks. A personal record. Despite passing clouds, the 80 degree weather cooperated and left only a few sunburns. One great thing about being a Miami photographer, I can shoot outside all winter long and it’s beautiful. Here are the behind the scenes photos!

(2018 Edit: We’ve just switched websites, and we’re trying to find these images, too!)

Sneak Peak

Two AMAZING photo shoots today, both for Ocean Drive Magazine. Here are some sneak peaks of Tamara Galinsky (owner of Jet Set Pilates on South Beach) on the beach from this afternoon. She is amazing to photograph, it felt more like shooting a model than a portrait. I love it when that happens! Enjoy!

(2018 Edit: We’ve gone through a few different website hosts since this post. We are also looking for these images!)

Visiting in Miami

I was really excited and lucky to have my sister Jacquelyn Benson (she’s an amazing writer) and her boyfriend Dan visiting this week. Besides hitting the beach and BBQing almost every day we also took a fishing trip, visited Tobacco Road, and had many more adventures. Naturally I was sad to see them go back to their home in Maine but I look forward to heading up north sometime this summer to play with them again.
To start you off, a little love shot from Sam of him and I!

Hope I have been able to temp some of my family and friend in far away lands to come visit too!

Miami photography morning adventure.

My loving husband set the alarm for quarter to seven in the morning today. Not exactly the way I was hoping to start my day, but I had promised him the next time I had a free morning I would go take some photographs with him and our dog Budapest.
It was crazy windy at the beach my hat kept blowing away and I had forgotten to bring a hair tie so it made it hard to see! But I got some cool shots in because we had great light!

I was really inspired by the colors and as a result I wanted to pay tribute to the golden days of Polaroid.

I had a lot of fun creating these and I hope that comes through! The colors, light and texture are so graphic on Polaroid transfers.
